Argo Challenge Signs up for Abilities Expo

Look out L.A. Argo is coming to town!

Argo Challenge has signed up for Abilities Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center on April 15^th 17^th.

Like the Americas Cup, Abilities Expo has events at a variety of venues. Even if the Abilities Expos conflict with our racing schedule, Argo Challenge, through its Ambassadors, will be present at this years expos in New York, Chicago, Houston and San Jose. Just think of the outreach that the Americas Cup will gain by being associated with all of Argos activities! The Argo Challenge and the Americas Cup World Series could be featured on the big screens at Abilities Expo.

People of all ages with all levels and types of disabilities experience their possibilities at Abilities Expo. Abilities Expo expands attendees idea of accessibility.  Wheelchairs, adaptive home furnishings, daily living aids, assistive technology for people with sensory disabilities, fitness gear and even travel services for people of varying abilities will be featured.

Now in its third decade, Abilities Expo, has dedicated itself to making a better life for the 1 in 6 Americans who are disabled. It serves this large population by offering free workshops to keep attendees abreast of the issues that most resonate with the Community such as accessible living, dating, financial planning, adaptive vehicle purchasing, emergency preparedness, selecting the perfect mobility device, fitness, travel, canine companions and more.

Each Abilities Expo provides three days of world-class events, activities and non-stop entertainment the perfect complement to exhibits and education There are adaptive sports, dance performances, gravity-defying stunts, technology showcases, canine assistance demos and much more. Whether you get involved or sit back and enjoy, you will be engaged.

Abilities Expo is a unique forum that brings the Community together to learn, network and be empowered. Argo aspires to be the Communitys international flagbearer.

The Argo Challenge cant wait to recruit our Abilities Expo friends as sponsors and colleagues at World Series and Americas Cup events. The race village hosting opportunities and entertainment are sure to be richer than any other sailing events & ever.

We at Abilities Expo salute the Argo Challenge for your efforts to build a crew of international athletes with disabilities to compete in the Americas Cup. This is exactly the type of initiative that that coincides with our own mission to expand the possibilities for people with disabilities though exposure to the latest products, services, education and adaptive activities. We applaud the hard work of your organization and your athletes to raise awareness across the globe of the continuing contributions of this Community.

One of our Abilities Expo Ambassadors summed it up best when she said, "Some people grow up admiring a hero, and then there are those who grow up to be a hero. Dont let anyone stop you from doing what you really want to do." The Argo Challenge is nothing short of heroic and we thank you.
